Coronation Day and a wet, dank, misty start. Anne wanted to soak up the Coronation atmosphere with a big screen set up in the middle of Brighton, whilst Richard wanted to do the local parkrun. East Brighton parkrun was nice, 5 km around East Brighton Park, 3 laps all on grass. Not too slippy, considering the rain, and even better when he found out he finished first (out of 3) in his age category in a time of just over 31 minutes. Slow by most people’s standards, but alright for an oldie!!

Anne found the big screen and managed to find a seat in the gazebo out of the rain. Spirits very much dampened by the persistent rain, but enjoyable all the same, and something to remember. After a shower, Richard watched the ceremony on Harvard, Anne caught a bus back to the marina and after shopping it was back onboard, heating on and generally thawing and drying out. Planning to leave tomorrow at about 09:00 for Eastbourne.
